Greetings! I’m Shaye Valentine, a filmmaker and visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal), Canada.
For years, I’ve worked in the adult film industry with studios such as Men, Transangels, Purgatory X, Grooby, and Icon Male as a director and director of photography/camera operator with the Montreal production company No-Monkeys.

Alongside adult content, I’m an independent artist currently developing my own experimental documentary. I also work with film stock (16mm), write short films, and have served as director of photography on several documentaries. In addition, I’ve been a lighting technician on professional sets for many years as a member of my local union (IATSE 514). Before studying cinema in film school, I earned a background in political science and sociology.

I decided to step away from the production company to work on my own terms, with the goal of merging my love for auteur cinema, eroticism, and feminism.
